my photos - a backyard regular just coolin' it

my photos - hummers

Thanks to all of you who checked out my blog and were so kind with your words of encouragement and your compliments.  I appreciate your friendship and your interest.  I will be posting more photos as I go along and hope to get busy working on some of the things that I should have started years ago.  Hindsight is really sort of a useless thing in itself.  Looking back sure doesn't change the fact that the years are flying by and that I shoulda, coulda, woulda (but didn't) do much with the last 10 years since I retired.  I can't get those years back by wishing that I had done more and had wasted less time.

I finally (sort of) got my blog set up.  Wow.  I'm struggling with all of the features trying to get the thing set up to suit myself.  Quite a lot of changing and reformatting for me.  Signs of getting older I guess.  I will continue to work on other things that I want to include on my blog.  I'm still at a loss as to how to create a slideshow of some of my personal photos.  I'm a bit frustrated that I haven't figured it out yet.  Oh well.  Maybe tomorrow.  I did post a photo of my beautiful rug hooks.  The very talented Mr. Tom Ingalls created them with some antique buttons, silver and rare wood from Australia that I had collected and sent to him.  Tom and I collaborated on the designs.  The result of his craftsmanship and expertise is nothing short of perfection.   I am so grateful to him and proud to have them.  I will put them to task in the near future.   My good friend, Jennie Adcock, has been rug hooking for many years.  I was inspired by her gorgeous works and decided that I would like do some hooking too.  Jennie, I know you're laughing at me.  That's been a long time ago, but I promise that I will get started on it.
